On 26th Nov,2009 I had authorized my friend to make a booking for both of us to Jakarta, on 9th Dec 09, using my America Express Charge Card.
Unfortunately upon submitting our booking online, a message appeared on the screen which reads inter alia reads "SORRY , THE FLIGHT / PROMOTION YOU REQUESTED IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE."
So any person of SOUND MIND would have the thought that the booking transaction was not sucessful.
Much later, we tried to book again for a different date , which is for the same destination i.e on 15th Dec 09 AND in addition of another name to the booking being a friend who decided to join in later.The booking was confirmed via booking no. E*******
Upon retrieving our travel itinerary through e-mail did only we realized that the first booking which we thought was not sucessful was actually confirmed via booking no. UZC*****.
So my friend called your call centre number (which took ages to be picked up) and spoke to customer service agent SURIN, and was told by this guy that there is nothing to be done and the only solution is that we may change the names at no extra charge (and his second suggestion was to for us to go there for both dates)
I find it hard to believe that Air Asia being a renowned mega company has a very poor customer service system and we just might had a bad day stumbling upon a clown whom is not well trained and incompetent. It was an obvious fact that the double booking was due to the faulty system and that is totally absurd to let the customer took all the consequences.
Luckily I did try again (which again took ages to be picked up) and this time I was being informed to e mail my dismay to this address.
As such, I seek your kind indulgence to look into this matter and kindly CANCEL the first booking bearing the booking no. ****** with immediate effect.
I hope that the this Malaysia's sweet heart airline would not dissapoint a regular customer who had been flying with your good selves for so many times, as it would tarnished your good name and reputation.
